TACKLE FOOTBALL RULES
EQUIPMENT NEEDED
FYFC will provide each player with a helmet, mouth guard, shoulder pads, rib pads, practice jersey, game jersey and game socks. Most of these must be returned at season’s end. Each player must provide their own football pants, socks and cleats. Players with braces should consult their orthodontist for proper mouth protection.
EQUIPMENT HANDOUT & FITTING
Getting properly fitted for their football equipment is imperative for your child’s safety. We believe that it is important to attend our equipment handout to be fitted for a helmet and shoulder pads by the FYFC coaches who are all certified in this area.
In order to pick up your equipment, you must have registered and paid in full, your AYF Player Packet signed and dated, player’s Physical dated the calendar year of the season or Medical Release form, included in the AYF Player packet, signed by their doctor and copy of player’s current report card. If you don’t have the physical or signed medical release, you can be fitted and your equipment will be held for you until the physical or signed medical release is turned in. You will need to contact your coach if you cannot make it to the equipment fitting. Equipment handout dates/times will be announced prior to the start of the season.
